The Graduate School are organising a volunteering session for PGR students at Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland (located in Treforest, not far from the university campus).

We will help carry out some basic gardening and maintenance work (such as watering plants, cleaning up spaces). It will be a great opportunity to meet and connect with other PGR students, while enjoying the lovely nature space and improving your health and wellbeing.

Date: Thursday 17th October

Time: 9.30am-12.00pm

All PGR students are welcome. Please sign up using this link.

Schedule:

9.30: Please meet outside Ty Crawshays by 9.30 so we can set off promptly. We will walk together as a group down to Meadow Street Community Garden, which takes around 20 minutes. If you would prefer to meet us there, please let us know and we can give directions.

10.00am: We will be given a health and safety briefing by staff before we begin, before starting our volunteering activities.

12.00pm: Leave the garden to return to campus.

Please wear suitable clothing and appropriate footwear. As we will be working outside, please wear warm clothing and bring a waterproof jacket / coat with you in case of rain. Don't forget to bring water / a drink, too. You'll be able to take breaks whenever you need to.
