A welcome event at the start of the academic year, co-hosted by Graduate School and USW’s Early Career Researcher Network, and opened by Professor Martin Steggall, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research.
The event offers an opportunity for informal conversations and networking with fellow researchers.
Colleagues from Graduate School, and Research and Innovation Services (Research Funding; Impact; Digital Marketing; Researcher Development) will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
This month, we also welcome colleagues from the Disability Service. You may have a neurodiverse profile (dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and Autism) and want to understand the support available, or you might want to explore whether some of the challenges you experience academically, or in your personal life, could be due to an unidentified neurodiverse profile. This informal drop-in format will allow researchers to ask questions and where appropriate, be signposted to support including the Mental Health and Wellbeing Services.
The event is being held in TRTC104 in the Postgraduate Centre, on the Treforest Campus, where tea, coffee and cakes will be provided. Please register so that we can cater accordingly.
If you would like to stay on campus after the event, there are plenty of quiet study areas and PCs in the Postgraduate Centre, or it is a short walk to the Library.
