Imogen Harries won the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) in 2020
This year we will be holding the event online using Blackboard Collaborate, and we are offering all of our students an opportunity to present their research, either by a poster submission, an oral presentation or by 3 Minute Thesis (3MT®).
To submit an abstract please read and follow the guidance attached. If you would like to use the 3MT format please simply submit your name, faculty and title of your presentation. There is also guidance attached for those students interested in this 3MT format.
Please note places for the oral presentations are very limited.
Abstracts should be submitted to Graduate School [email protected] by Friday 21st May and, following review by a panel, we will confirm if you have been successful by Tuesday 1st June 2021.
Oral presentations will be pre-recorded and presenters will be expected to be available on the day to answer questions from the judges and audience. 3MT presenters will be presenting live on the day. There will be technical support available to all presenters, before and during the event.
There will be a wide audience of academics and fellow researchers to give you this experience in a friendly and supportive environment. Prizes will be awarded for the best presentations.
To all of our new starters registering in January or April 2021 you are more than welcome to submit an abstract to present but as there are very limited numbers you may be encouraged to apply again next year. We would encourage you to attend as this will be an opportunity for you to see some of the exciting research that your fellow students are conducting.
We are also inviting our academic colleagues to act as judges and chairs. If you can help, please contact Llinos Spargo, the event organiser.
